Fri, Jun 18, 7-11 PM: The Ethan Philion Trio features three of Chicago’s most prominent instrumentalists–Ethan Philion on bass, Ben Lewis on piano and Mike Allemana on guitar.
Philion’s arrangements of jazz standards highlight the virtuosity and the sensitivity of each member of the ensemble and pay homage to the legendary Nat King Cole Trio and the long history of piano/guitar/bass ensembles.
Philion won 1st place in the 2019 International Society of Bassists Jazz Competition and is a two time Downbeat Student Music Award winner
