Register your home, business, or block to participate in the 2020 Holiday Lights Contest and help us light up Woodstock and spread holiday cheer! A community-wide lighting is planned for Friday November 27, 2020 at 7 PM. We will all “flip the switch” throughout Woodstock to honor the traditional Lighting of the Square that evening instead of gathering on the Square this year. $250 prizes will be awarded in 6 categories. A $1000 grand prize will be awarded and $500 will go to the runner up. Homes will be photographed by the judges for publication.

Entries are due Monday, November 23, 2020 to be included on the Woodstock Holiday Lights Map. Visit the Woodstock Area Chamber Website, www.woodstockilchamber.com, for contest details, rules, and entry form.

Homes will be judged by a five person community panel on December 5 & 6, 2020 between 5 PM and 9 PM. Winners will be notified the week of December 7, 2020 and announced to the public at the Woodstock City Council meeting on Tuesday December 15th.

Prize winners will be able to pick up a check at the Woodstock Area Chamber Office the week of December 14^th with a state issued ID for identification.  Prizes over $600 will require a social security number and state issued ID for pick-up of prize money as they are subject to state reporting for tax purposes.
