The Potts & Pans Community Steelband is run by Culture, Arts & Music, a 501c3 organization in Woodstock that is committed to creating community, opportunity, and happiness through the education of steelpan culture. The group rehearses on Tuesday nights and is open to anyone over the age of seven. This will not only be an entertaining evening of music but will also share the amazing story of how the steelpan has developed from a hated instrument played by the lowest-class citizens of Trinidad and Tobago to the instrument that is now played in orchestral halls around the world.
