Groundhog Days – Woodstock
Every day is Groundhog Day in Woodstock! The Groundhog Days Festival is underway with activities ranging from Groundhog Day movie memorabilia and memories to screenings of the classic Bill Murray movie that was filmed here, which by the way is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year! Woodstock Willie will make his prediction for an early spring or six more weeks of winter Wednesday morning at 7:00 at in the town square!
Groundhog Day: The Musical – Paramount Theatre, Aurora
While we’re on the subject of Groundhog Day, Groundhog Day: The Musical is the latest production at the Paramount Theatre in Aurora! Based on the classic Bill Murray film, it runs through March 13.
Bachelor The Unauthorized Parody Musical – Apollo Theater
Also on the theatre beat, the premiere of Bachelor, The Unauthorized Musical is in performance at the Apollo Theater. The parody is packed with romance, competition and contestants who may or may not be here for The Right Reasons! You can see who gets the final rose through February 13.
Husky Adoptions – Morton Arboretum
If you’re looking for something to do with your four-legged family members, the Morton Arboretum is having their first Dog Admission Days of the year on Sunday – and – you might find a new furry friend while you’re there!
That’s because the Siberian husky rescue organization Adopt-a-Husky will be on site with adoptable foster dogs for you to meet and greet from 10 to 4! They’ll also have photo opps and a special dog gift shop during the event.30, 2022 the Siberian husky rescue organization
Adopt-a-Husky will be on-site to celebrate our first Dog Admission Day of the year. From 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Adoptable foster dogs will be available to meet and greet, as well as photo pops and a dog gifts shop for the event.
Ice Castles – Lake Geneva
And for more winters fun, check out Ice Castles in Lake Geneva! This awe-inspiring winter phenomenon is built completely by hand using hundreds of thousands of icicles! The castles include breath-taking LED lit sculptures, frozen thrones, ice-carved tunnels, slides and fountains. Ice Castles is open through early March, weather permitting.
