Brookdale Conservation Area

Brookdale offers a peaceful retreat centered around an 11-acre pond, perfect for walking, fishing, or enjoying a quiet day outdoors. Explore a 1-mile mowed grass loop around the pond, observe wildlife from the deck, or wander through a former pine plantation.

The Paulson Road entrance provides a picnic shelter, restrooms, and a paved 0.25-mile trail to a handicap-accessible fishing pier and small dam where the pond feeds into the North Branch of the Kishwaukee River. Horseback riders will appreciate trailer parking for up to 10 trailers and easy access to the 6.15-mile multi-use trail.
