Groundhog Days – Prognostication

Will he see his shadow or won’t he? Join us in Park in the Square on February 2 for the annual Woodstock Willie Groundhog Day Prognostication — the moment everyone has been waiting for! Each year, this beloved tradition brings locals and visitors together in historic Woodstock to find out whether we’re in for six more weeks of winter or if spring might be right around the corner.

Festivities kick off early with a Groundhog Day polka band, playing live on the bandstand to help warm spirits while you wait for Woodstock Willie to emerge from his tree-trunk home. Adding to the excitement, we’re thrilled to welcome special guest Stephen Tobolowsky, beloved actor from Groundhog Day, who will be on hand to join in the fun.

Hundreds gather, bundled up and full of anticipation — and don’t forget your booties, ’cuz it’s cold out there!
