Open for picking August through season dependent. U-Pick apples Monday through Saturday 10 am to 4 pm and Sunday 12 pm to 4 pm.
Homestead Orchard is a quiet place in the country to pick 23 varieties of apples, pie cherries and pears. Come and sit under one of the oldest and largest maple trees in McHenry county. Relax, see and hear nature all around you. Come inside the 1880s horse barn, which is our store, and find hand crafted items, glassware, and maybe some antique furniture for sale. The beams of the store have all been cut by hand. Drift back in time and think of all the stories that this barn could tell.
Our harvest this year is a little smaller than usual but the apples are looking good. Keeping 200,000 bees is my hobby and we sell our honey at a very low price. We also sell honey from our own bee hives along with beeswax candles made one at a time.
