Chamber Music on the Fox (CMOTF), in partnership with the Woodstock Opera House, invites music enthusiasts to an evening of passion and musical romance with the “Romantic Piano Quartets” concert featuring the CMOTF Chamber Players, on Sunday March 10th, at 3:00pm. If you’re seeking a musical experience that resonates with the spirit of romance, this program is not to be missed. The CMOTF Chamber Players will showcase the fiery and lush Piano Quartet in G minor by Johannes Brahms, a masterpiece that embodies the passion and intensity of the Romantic period. Additionally, the program will feature an early work by the musical prodigy Richard Strauss—the Piano Quartet in C minor. Strauss’s composition, influenced by the music of Brahms, is a testament to his “Brahmsschwärmerei” period, reflecting his infatuation with the renowned composer.
